ConnexOntario, at any hour

ConnexOntario offers free, confidential help 24/7. A call goes to 1-866-531-2600. A text with the word CONNEX goes to 247247, and the chat is at connexontario.ca. All three are open at any hour, and none costs anything.

Text and chat suit anyone who would rather not speak on the phone. They also work for people who find a voice call difficult, or who cannot talk freely where others can hear.

Self-exclusion and age

  • My PlayBreak covers Ontario casinos, for 3 or 6 months or 1 to 5 years. Enrolment is through the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098, on-site staff or a PlaySmart Centre, and the term cannot be cancelled early.
  • BetGuard at betguard.ca excludes a person from all regulated Ontario gambling sites, including OLG.ca, for 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or a custom term. It does not cover land-based casinos, so My PlayBreak is the separate step for those.
  • The legal age for casinos and online gambling in Ontario is 19. Online players must also be physically located in Ontario to play.
