Accessible rooms and suites

The 400-room hotel offers accessible rooms and accessible suites. By name, these are the Racetrack Accessible King, the Premium Accessible Two Queen and Accessible Corner Suites. The hotel does not publish how many accessible rooms it has.

Accessible rooms at the hotel are wheelchair accessible. The roll-in shower is 60 inches wide and has a fixed shower seat. Grab bars are in the shower and near the toilet, at 29 inches. A raised toilet seat sits 15 inches high.

Service animals are not charged pet fees, though a cleaning fee may apply for soiling or damage. Check-in begins at 4 PM, and check-out is by 11 AM. Anyone 19 or older can make a reservation. Questions about a specific room can go to the resort at 416-675-1101.

Getting there

TTC bus 37A runs all day, every day from Islington Station on Line 2. It stops at Woodbine Racetrack Loop (Main Entrance), at the resort. The TTC says its bus and streetcar fleet is entirely wheelchair and scooter friendly, as are all routes.

The operator's Casino Shuttle is wheelchair accessible, and service animals are welcome on board. A reservation is needed, and a return trip costs $10 cash. Pickups are near Langstaff GO on Red Maple Road, on Bishop Avenue at Yonge Street near the transit entrance, and at the plaza at Jane Street and Wilson Avenue. Riders must be 19+ with valid government-issued photo ID.

Drivers can self-park free in an enclosed, camera-covered 3,800-space garage with multiple entrances and direct access to the casino. An outdoor lot is also available, and valet parking runs 24/7 for a fee.

Inside the resort

The Theatre says its venue is accessible. The location of accessible seats may vary by show, and accessible seats are sold on Ticketmaster. Metal detectors stand at the public entrances to the gaming floors and theatres.

Under the operator's accessibility policy, a person with a disability may enter with a guide dog or service animal in areas open to the public. The exception is an animal excluded by another law. If staff cannot easily identify a service animal, they may ask for documentation from a regulated health professional. They may not ask about the person's disability. A support person may come into all premises, subject to applicable age restrictions, and customers may use their own personal assistive devices.
